Rockie is truly a fun and important part of our Akcomi Team. He is a son of our Juneau, a lovely brown boy with a pleasing head, excellent conformation, correctly angled front and rear, lovely movement and, a great personality. Rockie finished his CH at a young age and quickly followed with his GCH and he continues to be shown in the conformation ring quite successfully with many Best of Breed wins and Group placements. He is also a retriever that never quits. He loves the water and is always willing to learn and please. His pedigree has many titled dogs in it, conformation as well as performance. Rockie has a plush, caramel colored coat, 25", 85#, with plenty of bone. He is a proven stud with a lovely litter born early 2015. He is at stud to approved girls.

JR is our up and coming young man, out of our Juneau, April 2015. He came to us as a stud service puppy and we quickly fell in love! JR has his dad's sweet temperament and happy ways, yet full of energy and intelligence. He is a strongly built, light brown young man with tons of coat and bone, good angles and movement. He started his show career at the age of 6 months and 3 days at the 2015 NSS. He won 2nd in his class in both sweeps and regular classes. Since then he won WD, Best Puppy CBR and a Puppy Group 3. JR is a quick learner and exuberant retriever, loves the water and life – his smile is engaging! JR's mom is the first GCH/MH female in CBR history and JR has picked up that birdyness.
He is DM clear (tested); PRA clear by parentage and will have OFA Hips and Elbows done at 2.

Juneau, now retired, was hand-picked for his aptitude and attitude – not only a sweet temperament, but also well packaged. He earned his first points at the age of 6 months 2 days by going BW and easily completed his championship at the age of 11 months. He is a sweet natured, happy boy that loved the ring and has been a joy to train and show. Juneau was winner of the 2007 NSS BISS Puppy Sweeps at 11 mo. He comes from an outstanding litter with several CH titles earned, as well as performance titles.
He is an attractive deadgrass boy, 24 ½”, 85#, with correct conformation, great disposition, lots of bone and coat, who loves to retrieve and swim. Juneau has produced some very talented offspring, with several doing well in conformation (CH and GCH), obedience and field work(JH, MH). He has not only passed on his oh-so-sweet personality, but also his adorable ability to smile to several of his offspring. Juneau has some amazing dogs in his pedigree, several titled field and hunt dogs as well as conformation royalty.

ColoRado is a daughter of our Scarlett and CH Chestnut Hills Chisum, born March 2014. Rado was a stand-out in a wonderfully balanced and consistent litter and remains a stand-out in the show ring today! She has what it takes to be the best at everything - energetic personality, balance in conformation and movement, intelligence, attitude, as well as tons of bone and a wonderful red-brown coat. ColoRado is a strong girl of 24" and 80#. She easily finished her CH title with limited showing, 4 majors including 2 BOB wins over specials and a Group 3 NOHS. Since earning her CH title, she has earned more BOB and a prestigious Group 2 placement – all under the age of 2. (See current litter plan on puppy page)

Eddie is littermate sister to our ColoRado and is a lovely clear deadgrass girl with a winning personality. She has never met a dog or person she did not like. Eddie is also involved in nosework and dock diving, exceling in both. She is also showing promise in the conformation ring and we hope to finish her CH in 2016. Eddie lives in Morrison CO with co-owner, Sybil Winfield.

Kona is a sweet young girl out of our Rockie/Willa litter, born 2/2015 and is co-owned with Matt and Melissa Brookshier of Parker CO. She is a ball of fire that never quits. But at the same time, is as sweet as can be, everyone loves Kona! She is a lovely, balanced girl with a correct coat and wonderful angles. Her dad already has her in the field and she has retrieved several birds. We are watching her grow up and hope to get her in the show ring someday soon.

Bridget is both beautiful AND talented! Bridget has a very UP personality with lots of drive, always ready to please at work or play. Her intelligence shows in all that she does. Her pedigree is loaded with champions in field and conformation ring. Her litters have produced beautiful pups in looks, personality and working ability with several earned CH, JH & MH. Her grandchildren are just now getting started in the show ring and field work and are making us proud. Retired from our breeding program, Bridget is now one of our granddaughter's Junior Handler dogs and still enjoys retrieving the birds.

Scarlett is a daughter of our Juneau & Bridget and has been blessed with the best of both parents. She is a lovely, well-boned girl, thick brown coat, with tons of energy and personality. She never meets a stranger and is an excellent ambassador for Chesapeakes. She is a very up, ready for anything type of girl that loves the water, retrieving and performing in the show ring. Scarlett quickly finished her CH in the show ring and now is teaming with our granddaughter in the Junior Handler ring. Hunt training is ongoing also. She is very intelligent and a sweetie around the house. Scarlett produced one very nice litter of 11, spring of 2014 and because of a health issue, is now retired from our breeding program.

Katie was the true definition of what a Chesapeake Bay Retriever should be. Her natural ability in the field was amazing and her attitude said "never die". She had beauty and brains which showed in her accomplishments. What her titles didn't tell are the many other accomplishments she has achieved over the years. Katie was a part of Team Colorado, the exclusively chessie team that won several Obedience ribbons, including several 1st places at local trials and a 2nd at the 2007 NSS. She hunted for countless hours in the fields and water ways of Colorado, never wanting to call it a day. In the midst of all the fun, she was bred two times, with one of her pups winning 2nd in Puppy Sweeps at the 2005 NSS. As a veteran, Katie went on and did some winning in the Veteran classes, adding to her accomplishments and years of devoted companionship. She taught us so much about the "Chessie Mind Meld" and her strong will, but was also willing to help raise our grandchildren with a love only a Chessie can give. We were sad to say goodbye to this sweet girl in 2014, and a corner of our hearts will forever be filled with her memory. Rest easy my Katydid…you deserve it…
